ATTACK: the "no rules" rule - Self Defense and Martial Arts in Vancouver & Richmond, BC
When attacking, the predator has chosen his victim, the location, the time of day, etc. They have prepared mentally to use lethal force and are waiting to catch you off guard. Their intention is have an extremely lopsided encounter at your expense. This is cowardly and goes against decent human concepts of the “fair fight” that civilized society is brought up with. Your response should be one of two things:
1. FLIGHT – If you can run away, do so. This is not cowardly. Why would anyone accept a confrontation under the ridiculous terms the attacker has chosen! 2. FIGHT – When an assault is imminent and you are unable to flee or verbally diffuse the situation, remember you’re “F.O.E.”. At Hit and Run workshops, participants learn the detailed strategies behind hitting First, hitting Often and hitting with Everything you have. "The best form of defence is attack." - Karl von Clausewitz |
